My Ode Is So Tight (2004)

     Produced during my undergraduate at Yale, all the sounds in My Ode... originate from live recordings made in the fall of 2004.  Through electronic manipulation, interviews with several of my friends provide the texts for the piece, as well as the material that was used to create the percussion and pitched 'instrumental' sounds.  
    The piece was originally intended for an eight-speaker, surround-sound installation in which the listener could move throughout, hearing different parts of the piece based on where in the room they happened to be at a given time;  this version is a stereo mix--listen with headphones!
